We are learning how to look at numbers, how they work and how you can group them. We did an activity called Numbers as shapes. It’s a bit like algebra thinking. Here is my work:

Statistics Learning

 Over the last 3 weeks we have been learning about statistics in maths.

                                                                                

I know that a graph needs a title, x and y axis labelled. 

I know how to write a statement about my graph.

We learnt how to use a spreadsheet

to make a chart using our own data.

For maths this week we read a book called one is a snail ten is a crab. We then worked in groups to create our own version. My book is called one is a slug ten is a squid. Here is my book. I hope you like it.

Maths - Addition and Subtraction Problems

For maths we have been working in mixed ability groups to solve problems. The focus has been solving word problems using place value. We have to select the correct the correct strategy to solve the problem. I have chosen

two problems to show you how I work them out.

I find subtraction easier than addition.

Time

We have been learning how to tell the time by using clocks.

Vaseline saucer Pet day

This term we made Vaseline saucers by uising petals  to make the symmertical pattern on a plate .

Basic facts test Term 3

I like basic facts because it helps your brain learn lots of things.
I learnt that 24 + 24 = 48. On Stage 4 I got 41 out of 60. But I need to work on my
take aways.
