Reading Week 10 Term One

This week for reading we read an extract from Charlie and the chocolate factory. It described Willie Wonka. Then we had to answer some questions and find the language that described his face. Here is my work.

Who is the main character of the extract?  Do you know what an extract is? Willy Wonka                                                                            

Is he the main character of the book?     No, Charlie is                                                                               

 The novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a good example of a narrative, but what do you think the purpose of the xtract is?

ANZAC Reading

I built a trench made out of Lego

I found out that the walls wouldn't stay stable

 I found out that it was easier to make a platform 

for the trench to sit on.

There's a ladder and a dog and big walls to protect them selves behind.

Poppy Art Reading

Blend 1/2 cup of flour with 1/2 cup of salt. Add 1/2 cup of water.Ad Red in one bag and black in one bag and mix them them up separately.
And then make the poppys out of egg
carton's and then paint
them. 

                      I found makeing the paint easy I found makeing the poppy's shape harder.

Reading Anzac

Planet Earth And Beyond

For reading we have been learning about the sun. We have read different books to learn facts about the sun.

The sun is a gigantic ball of gas. It is in the middle of the solar system and is our nearest star. 

It is very hot and the hotest part is the core.

The Sun gives us heat and light. It also gives us night and day as it spins every day.
