Animal town

This week we have used another picture as motivation for our writing.

We had a story starter and then we had to carry on the story.

What I like about my writing is getting to write about the animals.

I need to improve on doing more writing.

Here is my writing about Animal Town.

Animal town

Animal town is a place with lots of Animals. Like lions and parrots and apes and bears and giraffes.
The grouchy hungry lion was roaring really loud like the king. Well he is pretty much the king.
I could imagine the the lion wearing a crown.

Golf

We have been learning how to play golf with Mr Golf the coach.

I liked learning how to do a big swing and make the long L.

I am good at aiming for the target.

I need to work on hitting the ball.

Hot air balloon writng

This week we have used a picture as motivation for our writing.

We had a story starter and then we had to carry on the story.

What I like about my writing is it is fun.

I need to improve on getting it done faster.

When I was rising in my hot air balloon the Sky Tower was getting smaller and smaller. But everything else was so small because the sky tower is so tall and everything else is so short.

I was going to Hong Kong. I bought some guns incase their were big birds along the way. I brought a small mattress, sleeping bag, water and food.

ANZAC Day Writing

This week we have been learning about Anzac day. We had to write a poem and a postcard.

The Pou

As part of our writing programme we have been doing environmental writing. We had to sketch an object and as we were sketching we wrote down thoughts that we had. Then we wrote our thoughts down  as a poem. We cut out the sketch and added this to our writing.

ASB Get Wise

On Wednesday we had Marlon from ASB Get wise talking to us about saving our money, spending money on needs not wants and using invisible money ie eftpos. I have made a google draw to show what I have learnt. I liked learning about ASB get wise.

Handwriting

We have been learning to form our letters correctly and to use capital letters in the correct place.
I am good at forming most of my letters correctly. I need to get better at sitting all my letters on the line.
