Priate Coding

Today we have been learning how to code. First we coded a priate to get to the treasure with ut getting bomed. Then we made up our own coding grid. Have a look at my slideshow to see my coding from today. 

Time

We have been learning how to tell the time by using clocks.

Poems

This week we have been writing poems. We wrote haiku and acrostic poems. Here are some I wrote

This term we made Vaseline saucers by uising petals  to make the symmertical pattern on a plate .

Christmas poem

First we had to get a sketching pencil and a peice of paper. Then had we look at the Christmas tree and think of how to draw it. When we finshed that we had to write down words about the Christmas tree that popped into our head. We wrote a Chrismas tree poem on our chrome books.

 

Art

This term we have completed two pieces of art. One was inspired by an artist named Kadinsky who used coloured circles in his work. We looked at the contrast between warm and cool colours and the black and white of the buildings. Our second piece was using the Maori words we have learnt and using these to create a visual picture. The words become the shape of the picture. Some things I did well was the back ground and the hot colours. Some things I could improve on is the towers by making the patterns on the inside tidier.

We have been learning to form our letters correctly and to use capital letters in the correct place.

I am good at sitting the leters on the line.

I need to get better at keeping my letters straight.
